The children have been discussing what they already know about Spring, by observing the seasonal changes outdoors. Reception have participated in many 'Spring' themed activities within their learning environment, including exploring fiction and non-fiction books about Spring in the Reading Area; investigating germination with soil, seeds, spades and pots in the Sensory Area; playing 'Plant Bingo' in the Mathematics Area and making their own flowers in the Creative Area. During outdoor learning, the children planted their own seeds, caring for them each week. They are very excited to visit the beautiful grounds of Ashton Park next week to observe and record more seasonal changes too!
