A visit from the Mayor!

The Mayor talked to the children about his current role and how he had served as Deputy in the previous year. The newly elected school councillors prepared some excellent probing questions for both the Mayor and Mayoress and they were incredibly generous with their time in answering all of them!

At the end of his visit, the Mayor kindly invited the members of our Debating club to visit the Town Hall and carry out a real debate in the Council Chambers, with the Mayor presiding! We were thrilled to recieve the invitation and look forward to deciding on a suitable motion to debate.
